Pseudo Acanthosis

A skin disorder characterized by dark, velvety, thickened skin occurring mainly on the folds like the armpit and back of neck. It is usually an indication of underlying hormonal imbalance, though a detailed history is needed to rule out other causes. Treatment includes medical and topical management along with lifestyle changes.
